Senseible

What carbon figure should a Philippine rebar mill use for the billets it imports?

Ask the billet supplier for CO2 per tonne for the route and year; billets from blast furnace plants carry much more than billets from scrap based electric furnaces. Multiply by tonnes imported as Scope 3, Category 1. Your reheating furnace fuel is Scope 1 and mill power is Scope 2.

Your own share

Reheating fuel and rolling power are usually small next to the billet. Getting the billet figure right matters most.

Records

Bills of lading with tonnes and supplier, the supplier's figure, and your fuel and power bills.

What Senseible does here

Senseible reads coal, coke, gas, electricity and freight invoices into a dated, fingerprinted record per site, so each figure in a CBAM or buyer response can be traced back to the documents behind it.
