Best carbon compliance software for 2027
CSRD, ISSB, BRSR, India’s carbon market and California’s SB 253 ask for overlapping numbers in different formats. The tools differ on which rules they cover and whether an auditor can trace each number.
Senseible makes one of the tools on this list.
The list
1. TSC NetZero
- Who it is for: Indian listed enterprises and exporters; also banks (PCAF) and EU importers (CBAM).

How to choose
- CSRD and ESRS reporting. Ask: "Does it run double materiality on the current CSRD scope?"
- ISSB (IFRS S1 and S2). Ask: "Which IFRS S2 metrics come straight from our emissions data?"
- SEBI BRSR and BRSR Core. Ask: "Does it produce BRSR Core with the evidence an assessor asks for?"
- India’s Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (BEE emission intensity reports). Ask: "Does it track our intensity target and certificate position?"
- California SB 253 and SB 261. Ask: "Which SB 253 outputs are included today?"
- Built-in Scope 1, 2 and 3 calculation. Ask: "Are emissions calculated inside, or imported from another tool?"
- Audit trail and assurance readiness: evidence, approvals, auditor access. Ask: "Can our auditor log in and trace a figure to its document?"
- Digital tagging (XBRL or iXBRL) for filing. Ask: "Does it produce the tagged file, or do we tag it elsewhere?"
