What metering and calibration rules apply to a CCTS offset project's monitoring plan?

Readings that change all the time, such as fuel used or power generated, must be measured continuously. Fixed values like emission factors are updated at least once a year. Meters must meet BIS, national or IEC standards and be calibrated by an NABL accredited lab, and data is kept for two years after the last issuance.

The requirements in the project standard

Record keeping

All monitored data is archived electronically for two years after the crediting period or the last issuance of credits, whichever is later.

Where invoices help

Fuel supplier invoices and electricity bills are the usual cross-check for meter readings, and BEE's fossil fuel tool prefers calorific values printed by the supplier on the invoice.

What Senseible does here

Senseible keeps fuel and electricity invoices as dated, fingerprinted monthly records, the consumption data a project's monitoring report and its verifier will ask to trace.
