How does a Turkish arc furnace mill count bought DRI or HBI for CBAM?

As a precursor. Multiply the tonnes of DRI or HBI charged by their embedded emissions per tonne, from the supplier's actual data or the default value, and add your own melt shop and rolling emissions. Scrap brings no embedded emissions; DRI does.

What to get from the DRI supplier

• Direct embedded emissions per tonne, with installation and period.
• Whether the DRI was made with gas or coal, since coal DRI is much higher.
• Any verification.

Batch tracking

If you charge DRI from several sources, track tonnes by source per period. Averaging verified and default material is allowed if the arithmetic is shown.
