Does reheating furnace gas count in a Turkish rebar mill's CBAM figure?

Yes. Natural gas or fuel oil burnt in the rolling mill's reheating furnace is a direct emission of the installation and goes into the rebar figure. Hot charging billets straight from the caster cuts it, and the saving shows up directly in what your EU buyer pays.

How to count it

  1. Read gas consumption from the meter or supplier invoices for the period.
  2. Multiply by the net calorific value and emission factor, using IPCC defaults or supplier data.
  3. Allocate to rolled products by tonnage.

What Senseible does here

Senseible reads your fuel and electricity bills into dated, fingerprinted installation records, the starting point for the actual emissions your EU importer asks for, and its CBAM cost calculator estimates certificate cost from 2026 to 2034 for covered goods. Senseible does not verify emissions or file CBAM declarations.
