Should an Indian supplier share CBAM data through the Registry or by email?
Through the CBAM Registry if you can. A registered operator uploads verified data once and declarants see only a summary. Without registration you must send your full emissions report and verification report to every buyer, and the Commission advises email only for non-confidential material unless encrypted.
Registered in the Registry
- Upload installation and emissions data once in the O3CI portal.
- Share with each declarant who gives you its EORI number.
- Buyers see a summary, not your full report.
Not registered
- Send each buyer the full report and the verifier's PDF report.
- Each buyer uploads them by hand when preparing its declaration.
- Your full data travels by email or file share.
From 2027
The Registry is due to let operators share data with other producers who use their goods as precursors.
What Senseible does here
Senseible reads an exporter's fuel and electricity invoices into dated, fingerprinted records that a monitoring plan and a verifier can trace back to source. Senseible does not verify emissions, register operators in the CBAM Registry or file CBAM declarations.

- Producer will not share installation data
