What emissions data does a PSCI questionnaire ask pharma suppliers for?

Expect to give Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions and energy use for each manufacturing site, how you calculated them, any reduction target, and how you manage solvents, refrigerants, air emissions and waste. Answer per site, not only as a group total, and keep the bills and records behind every figure ready.

What PSCI is and why buyers send it

The Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative is a group of pharma and healthcare companies that share one set of supplier principles covering ethics, labour, health and safety, environment and management systems. Members send suppliers its self-assessment questionnaire, and may follow up with a site audit. The environment part asks how you control your impacts; the climate questions feed the buyer's own Scope 3 reporting.

How to answer well

  1. Check which version of the questionnaire you received; content changes between versions and buyers sometimes add their own questions.
  2. Answer every question; write zero or not applicable with a reason rather than leaving a blank.
  3. Use the same figures you give in BRSR, CDP or other buyer requests, so totals match across documents.
  4. Attach or offer evidence: a sample of fuel invoices and electricity bills, the calculation sheet and consent documents.

What Senseible does here

Senseible reads site bills and invoices into Scope 1, 2 and 3 records, with each figure linked to its source document, which gives you per-site totals and evidence for the questionnaire. Filling in and submitting the questionnaire stays with you.
